Solomon Islands is celebrating World Environment Day, World Oceans Day, and Coral Triangle Day on Thursday, 7 June 2012, at the Kukum Campus Playing Field. The theme for 2012 is “Green and Blue Economy: Value of Forests and Oceans – Are You Included?”

The project aims to collect oceanographic and off-shore fisheries stock assessment in a systematic manner in order to yield baseline information as a base for fisheries policy development, including vessel licensing policy and  to enhance the capacity of staff to plan for and design of long term oceanographic and off-shore stock assessment.
