The Government of Indonesia, in collaboration with development partners, will host a high-level side event during the Leader’s Summit at Rio+20 to highlight the Coral Triangle Initiative on Coral Reefs, Fisheries and Food Security’s (CTI-CFF) achievements to date and lay out the vision and call to action for its future. The event will be held on June 21 from 19:00–20:30 at Room P3-B in Rio Centro.

USAID’s Coral Triangle Support Partnership completed a scoping study on March 15, 2012 that identified major scientific gaps that need to be addressed to establish and manage an effective marine protected area (MPA) system in the Coral Triangle that integrates fisheries, biodiversity and climate change objectives.
