Successful Public-Private Partnership Reaps Gains for the Coral Triangle

An innovative program is providing a way for travellers to book their flights via a system that calculates the carbon emissions of the requested flight and then creates a donation of funds to a climate change adaptation program partnership with the World Wildlife Foundation (WWF.)

The program is described by the Philippine Daily Inquirer:

"You can do your share to help the environment and offset your carbon emissions each time you travel, by booking your flights via Cebu Pacific (CEB) website. The website will estimate the carbon emissions based on the distance of your flight, and you can opt to donate an amount based on that calculation to CEB’s Bright Skies for Every Juan program..."
