CTI-CFF participates in the Women Maritime Asia Regional Conference

CTI-CFF through its Regional Secretariat participates in the Women Maritime Asia Regional Conference with the theme "Empowering Women in Maritime Bridging the Gap" being conducted in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 9-11 April 2019. The conference is supported by the International Maritime Organization (IMO). Dr. Sharifah Nora Ibrahim, Deputy Executive Director for Program Services of the CTI-CFF Regional Secretariat was invited to speak at the conference.

The conference aims to provide support to women managers in maritime and port sectors with the goal of strengthening WIMA Asia's regional cooperation network, shaping the agenda and focus for WIMA Asia to further promote the role and contribution of women to the maritime sector among others.

CTI thanks IMO for full support. And CTI hopes for future collaboration with IMO and regional WIMA that would further promote women leadership and their valuable contribution in maritime sector.
